Dickey’s Barbecue in Cortland has Spring Fever

(Cortland, NY) Dickey’s wants to celebrate Spring this Friday, March 22 at its Cortland location. The barbecue franchise known for slow smoked barbecue, served fast is hosting a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the two hour event Dickey’s will be serving mouthwatering Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches for only one dollar!

“Owning a Dickey’s has been a very rewarding experience,” said franchise owner Allan Bennett. “I get such a kick out of talking to our customers—barbecue brings out the best in people.”

Bennett has lived in Whitney Point, NY for more than 40 years. He is a retired contractor and was the owner of AB Construction and Roofing Inc.; which is now successfully owned and operated by his daughter and son-in-law.

“We’re excited to be expanding our brand across New York State,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We currently have three locations in the state and hope to add several more this year.”

An official ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce will occur on Friday morning. Guests can indulge on the $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich promotion and enter a raffle to win free barbecue for a year; three winners will be chosen.
