Published: 30 Jul 2014

(Frisco, TX) On Thursday, July 31 at 11 a.m., Frisco residents will get a new fast-casual dining option when Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opens. The newest Dallas-Fort Worth location neighbors Frisco’s Fieldhouse USA, an indoor sports facility. To celebrate, the new location will throw a three-day grand opening event. The first 50 guests will receive gift cards worth up to $50.

Friday, the party continues with radio station 99.5 The Wolf, who will be on site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Also, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year. Saturday, the new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will offer all day merchandise giveaways.

“Dickey’s Barbecue is a family tradition in the Dallas-Fort Worth area,” said franchise owner, Mark Vahala. “The family friendly atmosphere, the consistently great food, and excellent value is what makes Dickey’s Barbecue Pit a great restaurant option for Frisco -- plus, who doesn't love free ice cream after a delicious barbecue meal?”

The Vahala family owns two existing Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations in Frisco. One at 6841 Warren Parkway, Suite 205 is directly across the planned Dallas Cowboys’ corporate headquarters and training facility. Frisco’s first location is at 7070 Preston Roar near Rolater Road. The new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Frisco is located at 6065 Sports Village Road and the phone number is 214.705.1674.
