Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was found back in 1941, in Dallas, Texas. With much success that one restaurant saw, there was sure to be a bright future for the BBQ concept. Keeping with family tradition, in 1967 Roland Dickey and T.D. Dickey followed in their father Travis' footsteps. Under their leadership, the company rapidly grew throughout the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. With such rapid growth, newer and bigger ideas were brought up.
