IS THE CATERING CUSTOMIZABLE?
Yes. Our catering experts customize menus to fit the style and guest expectation of your event. We consider personal dietary and budgetary restrictions, too. Whether it be ordering menu items for pick up à la carte, custom party platters for small plate presentation, or adding on appetizers and late night bites for the pre/post party, we’ve got you covered.
HOW MANY SERVERS COME WITH FULL SERVICE CATERING?
The total staff and number of service lines is dependent on the style and size of the event. We provide approximately two servers per 100 guests. Additional staff may also be brought in to handle dessert and beverage stations.
WHAT KIND OF PAPERWARE IS INCLUDED?
We provide all serving utensils (spoons and tongs), eating utensil packs (with fork, knife, napkin and salt/pepper packets), as well as plates.
HOW MANY ROLLS COME WITH THE DELIVERY BUFFET AND THE FULL SERVICE CATERING OPTIONS?
We provide one roll per person. We find this to be perfect for the majority of our events, but you know your crowd better than we do. Additional rolls can always be added to your order. The cost varies per location.
DO YOU HAVE ANY VEGETARIAN OR GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS?
We have a handful of vegetarian friendly options including our Mac & Cheese, Cabbage Slaw, Potato Salad, Caesar Salad (Dressing is served on the side), Creamed Spinach as well as Chips. Salads and Giant Stuffed Bakers are available at participating locations. A Giant Baker is a baked potato topped with the condiments on the side (Cheese, chives, sour cream, butter and barbecue sauce). We can separately box this in place of the meat portion for vegetarians.
Although we make every effort to separate ingredients during production and on our serving line, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross contact with any other recipe item. Dickey’s is unable to provide any guarantee for any product due to the possibility of cross contamination during the preparation of menu items and some seasonings use proprietary blends and therefore all ingredients may not be listed. The following items are not necessarily gluten free because cross-contact with allergens can occur: Slow-smoked meats, Barbecue Beans, Baked Potato Casserole, Green Beans with Bacon, tacos prepared with a corn tortilla, and Cabbage Slaw. If you are gluten sensitive, we recommend you review the list of suggested menu items with a qualified medical professional prior to consumption.
HOW MUCH TIME MUST I PROVIDE TO BOOK A CATERING?
Preferably two weeks notice but we’ll do our best if you call the day before or even the day of your event.
HOW DO I CONFIRM AN ORDER?
Full payment is required to confirm your event. A 50% deposit may also be taken to reserve your event date and time.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Deposits are non-refundable if canceled within 14 days of the event. Note: Full Service and catered events over 100 people must give a 30-day cancellation notice. Store credit may be given at the individual store’s discretion.
WHEN DO I GET MY RECEIPT?
The local store will provide a copy of your receipt upon delivery or pick up. If you need this emailed to you, let the Pit Boss know and we will send it over to you.
WHEN DO I FINALIZE MY GUEST COUNT?
About 10 days out, we will want to finalize the guest count and you can adjust the balance at that time if needed. We will still have wiggle room for last minute increases the week leading up to the event, but this will allow our team to forecast food ordering and staff scheduling.
WHEN IS THE REMAINING BALANCE DUE IF I ONLY PAY 50% UP FRONT?
The final balance will be due on the event day. Typically, we charge the same credit card used for the deposit unless notified otherwise.
WHAT IS THE PORTION SIZE PER PERSON?
Meat: We provide approximately a third pound of meat per person (5.33 oz.) total. *Ribs: Approximately 2 bones per person. Sides: Approximately 4 oz. per side, plus a buttery roll and condiments.
IS GRATUITY INCLUDED?
We never expect tips, but are always appreciated.
WHAT IS ON THE RELISH TRAY?
Pickles and onions are included.
DOES MY CATERING COME WITH HEATING ELEMENTS?
This will depend on the type of catering service you order.
All of our catering options are delivered in equipment
made to keep food hot during transit.
Boxed Lunches & Delivery Buffet: We will deliver your food and have it set up about 15 minutes prior to your food service time. We do not provide wire racks so if you plan on having the food sit out for longer than an hour (i.e. an open house, graduation party, or wedding), contact our catering experts for recommendations.
Full Service: This is recommended for events over 100 guests and will come with staff and heating elements (chaffing dishes and sterno sets).
WHAT SIZE ARE THE PANS?
We deliver our food in half pans: 11 3/4” x 9 3/8” x 2 9/16”. Two of our half pans fit inside a full size pan used in a wire rack. Full size pans: 20” x 12 3/16” x 3 3/8”.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PLACE MY CATERING ORDER?
Delivery and pick up times fill up on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you are placing your order within 72 hours of the event date, call your local store directly or 866-BARBECUE (866-227-2328). *Note: For Full Service events falling around the holidays, or orders for over 100 guests, a 4-8 week notice minimum is recommended.
