Travis Dickey began serving Texas-style BBQ with his wife, Miss Ollie Dickey at a humble location in Dallas, Texas in 1941 (which is still operation today). That is how strong tradition runs in the Dickey’s family. Dickey’s barbecue pit has been successful in business since then with and expansion of 550 locations spanning over 44 states.
