Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was first found back in 1941. Dallas, Texas was the first grand opening location, by Travis Dickey. Ever since this debut, our franchise has not stopped growing. Today, our barbecue pit has over 500 locations around the nation. Each and every single barbecue joint is unique in its own way. Every single franchise owner has been through the same training to ensure the same great quality and flavors from our original grand opening. Although we serve the same recipes and same barbecue menu items, each barbecue pit does have some differences. For one, when you officially get your franchise location, you can name your own pit. So just know every time you walk into a dickey's barbecue pit, you are entering an extension of our family tree.
