Our grandfather Travis Dickey debuted our family dynasty, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, 80 plus years ago in 1941. He was an original grill master, born to be the OG smoker of the city. Mr. Dickey and his wife, Ollie Dickey, served a limited menu and operated the whole restaurant with family. After the grand opening of our very first BBQ joint in Dallas, Texas, we have not looked back. We have been growing year after year, decade after decade into the worlds largest barbecue concept franchise in the world. Our family’s dynasty has been passed down through 3 generations and is still family operated, remaining true to our family history.
With great success in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, our brand rapidly expanded in other states in the nation. We are now in over 44 states and 8 countries around the world, sharing our love for some LEGIT. TEXAS. BARBECUE.
