The 500-store barbecue chain, looking for an edge in the fast-casual space against competitors like Chipotle, is using the cloud and Big Data tools to engineer profitability in its stores. The move so far saved $350,000 in upfront costs, CIO Laura Rea Dickey says, and allowed the chain to analyze complex metrics in one day instead of 30.
