Parade 2013

Nothing goes better with 4th of July than barbecue. How about combining your favorite co-workers and family members, a 1977 Trans Am, portable smoker and the biggest 4th of July Parade in Dallas? Yep, sounds perfect. More than 10,000 spectators lined the streets of Dallas eager to celebrate, as more than 200 floats and vehicles passed by. As the smell of hickory wood filled the air and flags waved, fans were treated to free sandwich cards to the local Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants and other goodies. It felt good to give back to our customers who have helped us grow our brand across the country. We were even joined by Maurine Dickey, former Dallas County Commissioner, who tossed goodies from the top of Dickey’s smokin’ Trans Am.

We all celebrated being American and then headed to Dickey’s for a little barbecue and BIG Yellow Cups filled with ice cold sweet tea.

Perfect 4th of July …CHECK!
