ABC 9: Dickey's Barbecue in West Mobile Raising Money for Injured Officer

A new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is opening in West Mobile Wednesday, and will be hosting a fundraiser Friday for a local law enforcement officer injured in the line of duty.
The restaurant is taking donations in the store Friday. The new location is at the corner of Airport Boulevard and Schillinger Road.
Dickey's is hosting the fundraiser for Barbecue Boots and Badges. BB&B is donating 100 percent of their proceeds and 100 percent of in store donations to MCLEA.
According to the website, BB&B is "a foundation committed to leaving a footprint on the communities we serve by providing funding and resources to law enforcement, firefighters and their
families."
As a part of BB&B, law enforcement or firefighters receive 50 percent off if they go to any Gulf Coast Dickey’s Barbecue in uniform.
Veterans receive 10 percent off if they present an ID card.
Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants is a Dallas-based franchise that serves slow smoked meats.
