The Chippewa Herald: Lake Hallie Block Party draws a crowd

Published: 11 Sep 2017

Hundreds soaked up the sun at Peace Memorial Park and the Eagles Club in Lake Hallie on Saturday at the Third Annual Hallie Block Party.

Organized and hosted by the Lake Hallie Eagles Club, the combination Block Party and Food Fest hosted popular Chippewa Valley summer entertainment: food cooked outside, classic cars and a rousing game of kickball.

Several food trucks, including Toppers, Big Girl Street Foods, Rosy’s and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, offered summer themed snacks in Peace Memorial Park, along with live music later in the night.

In the parking lot of the Eagles Club, a dunk tank, a classic car lineup and a superheroes-versus-military game of kickball kept the community entertained.

The evening concluded with a raffle drawing, with a first prize of $5,000.

Proceeds from the event benefited the VFW Unmet Needs Program.
