Make A Wish grants boy trip to Hawaii

WTOK covered the announcement of a child receiving a Make A Wish at Dickey's Barbecue Pit.
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - A boy diagnosed with a rare and deadly disease got his wish granted to him Saturday in Meridian.
10-year-old Jaxon Ruyack and his family celebrated the announcement at dickey's barbecue Saturday afternoon. His family says Jaxon has been through multiple treatments of chemo for many months. They say he is currently in remission and has a positive outlook on life.
"We have been through a long journey. We were in the hospital for 10 months with awesome supporters and staff. I want to thank UMC and I want to thank god first of all," his mother Jillian Page says.
Ruyack says he really looks forward to seeing what Hawaii has to offer and to meet some of the people there.
