(Walla Walla, WA) The newest Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is opening Thursday in Walla Walla. The 20th location in Washington State, the newest barbecue joint will open with a three-day barbecue bash, giving gift cards to the first 50 guests. “Washington State has become a receptive market for Dickey’s Barbecue Pit,” says Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We are opening five additional stores in the Spokane area as well, and we look forward to continuing to grow in the Pacific Northwest. The three-day grand opening includes:

 

Thursday, October 8 kicks off with the first 50 guests receiving gift cards worth up to $50.

Friday, October 9 guests can grab Dickey’s Barbecue goodies with all day merchandise giveaways.

Saturday, October 10 radio station KIOK 94.9 The Wolf will be on-site from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm and the new store will serve guests a barbecue bargain with $2 pulled pork sandwiches. One lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.                              

The demand for Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Washington State has grown exponentially. The state currently boasts 20 stores, and a new five-store development agreement is in place for continued expansion. Owner/Operator Gary Depping is proud to open his fourth store in Washington, with current stores located in Auburn, Tacoma and Covington. “The town of Walla Walla needs a great barbecue option,” says Depping. “Meeting Walla Wallans is the most exciting thing about being in town, and I love seeing old WA-HI classmates and reminiscing of days past.”
