Football season is upon us! Therefore, tailgaters around the country are gathering to cheer on their favorite teams amongst friends, delicious food like Dickeys Barbecue, cold drinks, opened hatchbacks and lowered truck tailgates. For all those DIYers, venues, colleges and other organizations hosting a tailgate party, there are several things you can do to impress your friends and fellow tailgaters. 1)	Have plenty of delicious food and beverages on hand.
Food and Football go hand and hand. When you’re looking for something hearty, delicious, and affordable you’ll want to check out one of Dickey’s Barbecue Pits Big Yellow Boxes. We must be aware, respectful, and conscientious of current events as a business and a brand. We must also not commercialize current events, the tragic death of George Floyd, the current protests, or the calls for change. I also do not want to send a message of silence as complacent acceptance for any form of racism, inequality, or injustice. So I will say this.
At Dickey’s, we believe in bringing people and communities together through the power of breaking bread. Breaking bread is both symbolically and literally an act of unity and healing. We take that seriously. Unfortunately, right outside of our dining rooms in streets across America, there is pain and frustration, dividing a country founded on the noble and unifying beliefs of liberty and justice for all.
May we use our dinner tables as a place to come together. May we encourage healing, justice, and kindness as we serve our neighborhoods and communities with full hearts. In this way, Dickey's shall forever remain a place for communities to break bread together. This is my prayer for us all. Please pray it with me.&nbsp;

Bill Zimmerman, with his Pit Boss’, recently entered and won first place at a barbecue contest hosted by QSR and the US Highbush Blueberry Council. Their winning recipe was a Blueberry-Rubbed Pulled Pork Sandwich with Blueberry Jalapeno Barbecue Sauce.&nbsp;
The trio has been asked to share their winning recipe at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago in May.&nbsp;

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Ft. Worth (TX-0404) recently partnered with their local radio station 92.1 Hank FM and 95.9&nbsp;The Ranch to promote their location and delicious barbecue! They handed out samples of Pulled Pork Sliders and promoted Dickey’s holiday meal options.
