“We are always very proud when passionate franchisees, such as Rob, continue to open more Dickey’s locations and spread the love of Legit. Texas. Barbecue.™,” says Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We look forward to seeing Rob’s success with his new location in Pearland.”
Originally from Louisiana, Rob, has brought two Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations to the Bayou area. He and his two investors have loved watching their business grow and wanted to open more locations in the Houston area.
“We have had a great time working with Dickey’s these past few years,” says Rob. “Houston has been experiencing such amazing growth, that we felt Dickey’s should be a part of it. We built the store from the ground up and we are very proud to be showing it off in the near future.”

I first started buying from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit a few years ago, not because of the taste, but because I could buy complete Thanksgiving ham dinners at holiday time. I would donate the purchases from Dickey’s to Soroptimist or the Exchange Club of Tacoma. Since then I’ve bought pre-cooked items for a Rotary meeting at my home, and a deck party. For most people BBQ means ribs and the ribs from Dickey’s are “fall off the bone” good. They don’t have a lot of sauce on them, but Dickey’s offers three types of sauce in their restaurants. They differ in spiceyness. You can add as much sauce as you like to any of the BBQ selections. The ribs are my wife Peg’s first choice. She can buy a rib plate and have enough left-overs for breakfast.
We recently had lunch at the Sixth Avenue Dickey’s with our son Del and his wife Johanna. They both, along with their kids, love Dickey’s. I broke out of my mold and ordered something completely different: a baked potato. The baked potato is huge. Once cut open the server put two ice cream scoops of butter into the middle of the spud, followed by three scoops of sour cream, a sprinkling of cheddar cheese, bacon, and then topped it with the meat of your choice. You can ask for more butter, more sour cream, more cheese, more bacon . . . it goes on and on. For me the final topping meant chopped up Brisket . . . and a helping of onion “tangles.” I could not eat the entire potato. I did eat all of the Brisket, however...
They say the best BBQ brisket comes from Texas. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is a family-owned American barbecue restaurant chain based in Dallas, Texas. Locally, they have restaurants in Tacoma and Puyallup. The meat is good, the prices reasonable, and the servers are friendly. Y’all come!

Dickey's Barbecue Pit franchisee Danny Malabotis is bringing the Dickey's Barbecue Pit location to Hawaii, a news release said.
Opening next month in Kapolei, the restaurant will feature Dickey's classic menu items such as slow-smoked brisket, a variety of savory sides, and as a franchise first, will have traditional Hawaiian sides such as rice.&nbsp;
"I chose to bring Dickey's to Hawaii because of the delicious menu options coupled with the great atmosphere of the brand," Malabotis said in the release. "I am passionate about the art of crafting authentic barbecue and look forward to serving Dickey's to my community with the support of the Dickey's home office back in Dallas."

Make no mis-steak: owners of a soon-to-open barbecue restaurant are excited to bring the chain to Bozeman.
“Food and beverage has always been close to my heart,” co-owner Laurie Zabawa said. “I’ve always wanted a restaurant.”
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is slated to open in January, Zabawa estimates. The Texas-style barbecue chain will be fast casual, with customers able to order at the counter and have their food ready to go by the time they get to the register.
There will be a drive-thru, indoor and outdoor seating and fire pits. Zabawa said she chose to open a Dickey’s because she liked the modern industrial design. She said it’s important to her and her fiance and co-owner, Mark Jones, that the restaurant be affordable.
“I think a lot of the businesses coming to Bozeman are fine dining,” she said. “We’re lacking something a little more casual.”
Dickey’s will serve almost every kind of barbecue meat you could think of, with slow-smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken and turkey. Every meat plate comes with a buttery roll, and side dishes include baked potato casserole, mac ’n cheese and green beans. Meat is smoked on site every night for the next day.
Dickey’s has more than 500 locations in 45 states, with restaurants in Billings, Laurel and Kalispell, and this will be Bozeman’s first location. Between Zabawa and Jones, the two have managed or owned four businesses in the Bozeman area, and they said they’re optimistic opening a new business, considering the growth. The city can sustain a lot of new businesses, they said. They might even look at opening locations in other cities in Montana down the road.
The restaurant will be located at 1040 Fowler Ave., Unit 107, on the corner of Fowler and Huffine Lane near Rosauers. With a large rotunda and patio, Zabawa said it stands out. She’s excited to be at the quickly-developing part of town, she said, with good access to the university crowd.
“It’s just going to have great exposure,” she said.

HONOLULU (KHON2) - Oahu’s first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location will open in Kapolei.
According to the company, the menu will include classic items like slow-smoked brisket and for the first time at any Dickey's location, rice will be on the menu.
Dickey’s has been around for 77 years. With more than 500 stores in 45 states it claims to be the nation’s largest barbecue chain. The company says its meats are smoked low and slow overnight in every location across the nation.
"I chose to bring Dickey's to Hawaii because of the delicious menu options coupled with the great atmosphere of the brand," franchisee Danny Malabot said. "I am passionate about the art of crafting authentic barbecue and look forward to serving Dickey's to my community with the support of the Dickey's Home Office back in Dallas."
According to the company’s website, the store will be located at 91-0710 Farrington Highway. We’ll follow up and let you know when an opening date is set.
