 The 81 year old Texas-style barbecue brand finished 2022 with record sales having one of their best catering years to date by exceeded their previous year [catering](https://www.dickeys.com/catering/services) sales by 30.68% across all ordering platforms. 2022 also produced a notable increase in online ordering sales with a record shift to curbside pickup and direct carryout from delivery, an indicator guests are further stretching their spending dollars. Another compelling win comes with the brand’s loyalty program, The Big Yellow Cup rewards program, which saw a substantial increase of 76.5% in new loyalty memberships and a 12.8% increase in Be My Guest coupon redemptions in 2022. Guests are continuing to display recession spending behaviors, like high coupon redeem motion, while still enjoying barbecue.
 
 The restaurant brand continued to increase its virtual footprint across the country with the addition of Boost Virtual Concepts. In 2022, Dickey’s Restaurant Brands opened 169 Boost Virtual Concept locations starting in July, and 29 new Wing Boss, Trailer Birds, and Big Deal Burger stores. <h2>World’s largest barbecue restaurant delivers an optimized menu with new value combos for barbecue lovers</h2?

DALLAS (March x, 2023) – [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](https://www.dickeys.com/) has launched an optimized [BBQ menu](https://www.dickeys.com/menu-at-a-glance/menu), reworking their historic offerings after 81 years, to combat food inflation, maintain value to guests and simplify ordering. 

 The world’s largest [barbecue restaurant](https://www.dickeys.com/locations) brand, with their guests and franchisees front of mind, has trimmed their menu back 42% to their most traditional barbecue meats and plates and added combo meals.

 Dickeys collaborated with [franchisees](https://franchise.dickeys.com/request-more-info/) on this year long, menu project that “challenged, tested, and trialed every part of the menu”. Reductions to the menu were data driven and specifically focused on removing items most impacted by sourcing and inflation as well as specialty items with longer preparation times. Guest preferences were also a guide as the brand, “aimed to cut with the precision of a scalpel, and the heart of a pit master”.

Some of the most notable menu adjustments include:
 
1.	Redesigned menu boards now feature core barbecue offerings like brisket, ribs, kielbasa sausage, pulled pork, chicken and smoked wings, as plates and sandwiches, but with fewer specialty sandwiches
2.	Guests now have 7 combo meal options to choose from for added value.
3.	Turkey is no longer available year-round due to the continuing supply issues and rising costs, however Dickey’s will still offer their signature whole smoked and fried turkeys for holidays meals. 
4.	Burnt ends have been removed from the menu, and sides were trimmed from 11 side items to 7 side items. Fan favorite sides, mac and cheese and fried okra are still available, as well as the popular, original hand cut fries. 
5.	All three of the famous, original, sweet and spicy [barbecue sauce](https://www.dickeys.com/press/blog/bbq-sauce-recipe) options remain on the menu. 
6.	Family packs and [catering](https://www.dickeys.com/catering/services) remain on the menu

### Donation will provide 21 sets of protective armor to local first responders across Louisiana 

DALLAS (January 17, 2023) – [The Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/), the nonprofit arm of [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](https://www.dickeys.com/), will provide lifesaving protective armor to the brave first responders of two Louisiana law enforcement departments in Gretna and Slidell.

 Members of the Dickey Foundation will travel to Louisiana from the Foundation headquarters in Dallas, Texas for the presentation of these generous donations. On Monday, January 23rd at 11:3 0 a.m., nine sets of protective armor will be donated to the first responders of the Gretna Police Department, located at 200 5th Street, [Gretna, LA](https://www.dickeys.com/locations/louisiana/gretna/gretna) 70053.

 Additionally on Tuesday, January 24th at 11:30 a.m., the Dickey Foundation will visit the Slidell Police Department located at 2112 Sgt Alfred St, [Slidell, LA](https://www.dickeys.com/locations/louisiana/slidell) 70458 to spend some time with the men and women of the Slidell PD and present them with twelve sets of protective armor.

Dickey’s Reveals New Packaging in Brookshire’s Stores  

The Dickey's Foundation is headed to the gulf coast to support first responders with grants valued over $15,000

 DALLAS (November 10th, 2022) – After providing more than $20,000 in grants along the west coast last month, The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, is headed to the Houston, Texas area to support first responders with grants valued over $15,000.

 On Monday March 13th, the Foundation will present Jacinto City Police with three electric bicycles. These electric bicycles will offer additional safety and ease for the Jacinto City Police Officers to quickly maneuver and respond to calls in their community. The presentation will be at 11:30 a.m. at Jacinto City Police Department - 10429 Market Street Road Jacinto City, Texas 77029.

 Additionally, on Tuesday March 14th, the Foundation will present the Baytown Fire Department with 11 sets of floatation bomber jackets and bibs for the Baytown Fire Department’s Marine Operations Unit. This personal protective equipment provides flotation and in-water insulation to delay the onset of hypothermia in the event of water immersion for firefighters assigned to the fireboat. The presentation will be at 11:30 a.m. at Baytown Fire Training Field, 7022 Bayway Dr, Baytown, TX.
