 Dickey’s Recognized as Global Franchise Award Winner 

(Dallas, TX) Since 1941, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has served barbecue lovers authentic, Texas-style barbecue and savory sides. For the first time in 78 years, Dickey’s announces the addition of a full-service bar, Central Bar, to their original location in Dallas, TX, giving guests a more legit Texas barbecue experience.&nbsp;
“As a family-owned business, starting small with our first location in Dallas, TX, we are proud to have grown to be the largest barbecue franchise in the world,” says Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “To celebrate this milestone for our brand, staying true to offering beer as we did back in 1941, we are inviting guests to Central Bar to enjoy our legit barbecue, ice-cold beer and great music.”&nbsp;
At Central Bar, guests can always order a drink with their lunch or dinner to enhance that smoky barbecue flavor. They can also stay after hours to take advantage of the full bar, limited barbecue menu and enjoy the Dickey’s vibe. In constructing Central Bar, Dickey’s uncovered an original window from when the building was first built, giving bar patrons a direct look at Dickey’s Pit Masters pulling slow-smoked brisket off the original Pit, still used at the location.
In the on-demand world of today, the stay-at-home customer trend is here to stay as guests want everything at their convenience. Though, as a brand, we are heavily focused on our delivery initiatives, we also want guests in the Dickey’s dining room instead of their own. Dickey’s guests look for an experience when they dine out, so by including a full bar along with extending the kitchen, Dickey’s now creates a unique experience that has not been offered in this location before. Along with the bar, Dickey’s has included a beautiful wood patio area for patrons to enjoy their beer and barbecue.&nbsp;
The Dickey’s original location is commonly referred to as the “Central Dickey’s location” and is where Dickey’s folks encourage new guests to go for the first time, which is why “Central Bar” fit perfectly as the name. Central Bar opens Friday, March 1 at 5 p.m. ‘til late.&nbsp;

Local Entrepreneurs Bring Dickey’s to La Marque, TX 

(Dallas, TX) The Dickey Foundation, the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit charitable organization, recently outfitted the entire Dallas Police Department with top-of-the-line ballistic vests.&nbsp;
 
The Dickey Foundation sets out to protect those that so bravely serve communities across the nation. Over the past year, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit and The Dickey Foundation have worked together locally in the Dallas area to raise the funds to gift more than 2,000 vests to Dallas’ local heroes.&nbsp;
 
“As the founder of The Dickey Foundation, it is my honor to be a part of such a giving Dallas community,” says Maurine Dickey, Founder of The Dickey Foundation. “Without the support of the folks in our area, we would not have been able to gift these ballistic vests to the brave men and women of the Dallas Police Department.”&nbsp;

Dickey’s Welcomes New Vice President of International Sales 

(Long Island, NY) Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchisee Jerry Stephan plans to bring 21 Dickey’s locations to New York. As a new member of the Dickey’s family, Jerry plans to develop the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit presence throughout the state. Jerry will own and operate two of the locations, with his first slated to open in Spring 2019 in Long Island.

Local Entrepreneur Brings 21 Dickey’s Locations to New York

DALLAS (October 25, 2018) – Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, the largest barbecue franchise in the world, announced today it will expand into the Canadian market for the first time in late 2019, bringing Texas barbecue to 20 stores in Edmonton, Alberta, Calgary, Alberta, Regina, Saskatchewan and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.&nbsp;
 
This follows Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opening its first international Dickey’s restaurant location in Abu Dhabi earlier this month. The Abu Dhabi location is the first of 45 Dickey’s restaurants across the Middle East that will be operated by Serenity Hospitality, a Middle Eastern hospitality group. The group plans to open and operate Dickey’s franchises in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Lebanon.&nbsp;

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has been in operation for 77 years and remains to this day a privately held, third generation family-owned business with more than 500 locations across the United States. In addition to expanding into Canada and across the Middle East, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is opening six new locations in October across the U.S., including Hawaii for the first time.&nbsp;
 
The first international Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location in Abu Dhabi is operated by Serenity Hospitality and led by its CEO, Youssef El Habbal, who has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The restaurant features an open kitchen, so customers can watch the Pit Masters at work. The menu has been customized for customers in Abu Dhabi and includes Dickey’s barbecue favorites include 14-hour slow-smoked beef brisket, smoked chicken and turkey and savory sides such as mac and cheese, barbecue beans and creamy spinach. New dishes include beef ribs, an array of beef sausages and a regional favorite – smoked lamb. Three state-of-the-art smokers that use hickory wood have all been imported from the United States to bring a taste of authentic Texas barbecue to the Middle East.&nbsp;

Treat's at Dickey's This Halloween

(Dallas, TX) The Dickey Foundation, the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit charitable organization, sets out to support local first responders across the nation. This year, participating Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations are seeking donations from guests the week surrounding National First Responder Day, October 28.&nbsp;
 
From October 26 to November 2, Dickey’s guests can donate to their first responders at their local Dickey’s location and receive a “badge” to sign and hang on the wall.&nbsp;
