DALLAS, TX (May 17, 2023) – This Memorial Day, your local Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will be open with deals for guests and a give back pledge to honor service members. 

On Monday, May 29th, the Texas-style barbecue brand is honoring military members by partnering with veteran founded, nonprofit organization, [Carry The Load](https://www.carrytheload.org/). Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, along with The Dickey Foundation will be donating a percentage of the proceeds of every Big Yellow Cup sold on Memorial Day to Carry The Load.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Celebrates National Brisket Day

DALLAS, TX (May 17, 2023) – [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](https://www.dickeys.com) has been serving Legit. Texas. Barbecue. ™ since 1941, but their new, hand-crafted Mac & Cheese sausage will be available for a limited time only. 
 
Just in time for summer, the barbecue brand will offer a kielbasa-style, Mac & Cheese Sausage, a combination of smoked kielbasa-style pork sausage, spices and smoked brisket, stuffed with savory macaroni and cheddar cheese. From May 22nd through August 30th this savory, cheese filled, pit-smoked sausage will be available in-store, on the Dickey’s App, and at dickeys.com.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Recognizes Teacher Appreciation Week 

DALLAS (May 3, 2023) – This year, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is recognizing nurses across the country in honor of National Nurses Week. 

The world’s largest barbecue brand wants to thank these hardworking men and women for their continued commitment to the health and welfare of their communities. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Scholarship Program Returns for a Second Year

 The world’s largest [barbecue restaurant](https://www.dickeys.com/locations) brand, with their guests and franchisees front of mind, has trimmed their menu back 42% to their most traditional barbecue meats and plates and added combo meals.

 Dickeys collaborated with [franchisees](https://franchise.dickeys.com/request-more-info/) on this year long, menu project that “challenged, tested, and trialed every part of the menu”. Reductions to the menu were data driven and specifically focused on removing items most impacted by sourcing and inflation as well as specialty items with longer preparation times. Guest preferences were also a guide as the brand, “aimed to cut with the precision of a scalpel, and the heart of a pit master”.

Some of the most notable menu adjustments include:
 
1.	Redesigned menu boards now feature core barbecue offerings like brisket, ribs, kielbasa sausage, pulled pork, chicken and smoked wings, as plates and sandwiches, but with fewer specialty sandwiches
2.	Guests now have 7 combo meal options to choose from for added value.
3.	Turkey is no longer available year-round due to the continuing supply issues and rising costs, however Dickey’s will still offer their signature whole smoked and fried turkeys for holidays meals. 
4.	Burnt ends have been removed from the menu, and sides were trimmed from 11 side items to 7 side items. Fan favorite sides, mac and cheese and fried okra are still available, as well as the popular, original hand cut fries.

 Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Launches Optimized Menu

The Dickey's Foundation is headed to the gulf coast to support first responders with grants valued over $15,000

 DALLAS (November 10th, 2022) – After providing more than $20,000 in grants along the west coast last month, The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, is headed to the Houston, Texas area to support first responders with grants valued over $15,000.

 On Monday March 13th, the Foundation will present Jacinto City Police with three electric bicycles. These electric bicycles will offer additional safety and ease for the Jacinto City Police Officers to quickly maneuver and respond to calls in their community. The presentation will be at 11:30 a.m. at Jacinto City Police Department - 10429 Market Street Road Jacinto City, Texas 77029.

 Additionally, on Tuesday March 14th, the Foundation will present the Baytown Fire Department with 11 sets of floatation bomber jackets and bibs for the Baytown Fire Department’s Marine Operations Unit. This personal protective equipment provides flotation and in-water insulation to delay the onset of hypothermia in the event of water immersion for firefighters assigned to the fireboat. The presentation will be at 11:30 a.m. at Baytown Fire Training Field, 7022 Bayway Dr, Baytown, TX.
