Cockrell Hill, Texas (October 12, 2021) – The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical protective equipment and safety gear they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer. 

On Tuesday, October 12th at 6:30 p.m. the Dickey Foundation Board Chair Maurine Dickey and the Dallas County Commissioner Elba Garcia will award a grant at the Cockrell Hill City Council Meeting (City Hall, 4125 W. Clarendon, Cockrell Hill, Texas 75211)

The grant which is a joint effort between The Dickey Foundation and Dallas County Commissioner Elba Garcia will provide necessary communications equipment for the Cockrell Hill Fire Department.  

“The Dickey Foundation is all about giving back to law enforcement and firefighters who put their lives on the line every day while serving our communities,” said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We are pleased that we are helping to provide necessary communications equipment to help the fire department serve the community quickly.”

Dickey Foundation Grants Cockrell Hill Fire Dept. Communications Gear

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is celebrating 80 years of serving Legit. Texas. Barbecue.™ by inviting fans to meet one of its iconic leaders – Mr. Dickey!
 
On Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 5 p.m. to close, the world’s largest barbecue concept will host Mr. Dickey’s Dollar Dinner Party where it all started – the original Dickey’s restaurant at 4610 N. Central Expressway in Dallas. Mr. Dickey will attend the customer appreciation event and meet guests, sign cookbooks and offer a pre-sale for Dickey’s newest cookbook coming out later this year! 
 
Mr. Dickey’s Dollar Dinner Party will celebrate with $1 Pulled Pork Sandwiches and $1 Lone Star Beer from 5 p.m. to close. The special is available only at the original location in Dallas on Central Expressway and Henderson Ave, for dine in or pick up. All locations nationwide are celebrating with an $8.80 anniversary combo of a pulled pork sandwich, side and dessert, plus free delivery on Dickeys.com.
 
The excitement doesn’t stop there. The Dickey’s team will be joined by another Dallas staple – SportsRadio 96.7 & 1310 The Ticket. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s Retail Line is Rapidly Expanding Nationwide

<a href="www.dickeys.com" aria-label="dickeys-home" target="_blank">Dickey’s Barbecue Pit</a> international expansion efforts are showing no signs of slowdown as the world’s largest barbecue concept is bringing its slow-smoked meats and savory sides to Brazil!  
 
Dickeys announced today that its newest location to open is in Sao Paulo, the country’s largest city, with a population of 12 million.  
 
Owner Operators Bruno Gallucci and Cyro Pires Xavier are partners with a vast entrepreneurial background and have more than a decade of experience in restaurant operations and agricultural productions. The partners have full franchising rights for Brazil and are slated to open a total of 110 locations in Brazil. “We are very excited to show the people of Brazil the wonderful Texas Barbecue, this is unlike anything they have tried before” says Bruno Gallucci who adds that the food along with the location of the flagship restaurant are a recipe for success.  “We are located in the heart of the city with plenty of foot traffic and many businesses” says Gallucci who says the restaurant is off Paulista Avenue.
 
“We are so happy to welcome Bruno and Cyro to the Dickey’s family, they have a beautiful location and the public seems eager to try Legit. Texas. Barbecue.” Says Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group. 
 
This location was expected to open a year ago but was postponed due to COVID-19. The owners are excited to open the doors to the multi-story location with a roof top bar. “We put so much effort into our flagship location we are really looking forward to showing it off and of course enjoying the delicious barbecue” adds Gallucci who is also giving away free dessert and ice cream the first few days to celebrate!

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Opens in Brazil

The world’s largest barbecue franchise opens its second location in Yoyogi, Tokyo serving Legit. Texas. Barbecue.™ 

[Dickey's Barbecue Pit ](https://www.dickeys.com)partnered with Sunsheng (Jason) Lin, owner of Japan Barbecue Franchise Company (JBFC) Co., LTD to open its first Japan location in the Kamiosaki District in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo in May of 2021. Now the second location in Yoyoji a neighborhood in the northern part of Shibuya, Tokyo Japan is open.  The second location has limited seating with carry out, delivery and approximately 602 square feet. 

“We are thrilled for the second Dickey’s Japan restaurant to open,” said Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey's Capital Group. “Working with Jason enables us to continue driving our international expansion efforts and rapidly grow as the world’s largest barbecue concept.

Compared to the year prior, over the three-day weekend, the Texas-style barbecue brand recorded a 10% increase in sales, including a 26% increase in digital sales and a 20% increase in digital checks. On Labor Day, the brand experienced its biggest spike of the weekend with digital checks up 34% and digital catering sales up 36% over 2020.

In addition to Dickey’s sales boosts, the world’s largest barbecue concept saw a notable increase in mobile app ordering. On Sept. 6, orders via the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit App increased 62% and digital sales increased 44% compared to 2020. In total, year-over-year sales were up 13% across the country and overseas on Labor Day.

Barbecue At Home by Dickey’s Offers Two New Fill Your Freezer Boxes

Texas-style barbecue restaurant signs area development agreement to add 48 locations over the next five years

[Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](www.dickeys.com) is continuing to grow at a rapid pace as the world’s largest barbecue franchise embarks on a huge development push in the Northeast.

Dickey’s announced today that the company has signed a multi-unit area development agreement with Chaac Foods, LLC. CEO and President Luis Ibarguengoytia led the negotiations for Chaac Foods and signed the agreement this week to develop 48 Dickey’s locations in five years. Ibarguengoytia, a veteran restaurant operator, has teamed with Gauge Capital to form Chaac Foods, which currently develops and operates Pizza Hut and Bojangles restaurants.

“We look forward to entering the barbecue category by joining forces with the world’s fastest growing barbecue franchise,” said Ibarguengoytia. We were drawn to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit because of the flexibility offered with various operational formats, including traditional stand-alone stores, virtual locations and food trucks. The flexibility makes this deal an attractive opportunity when seeking to develop multiple locations during a dynamic time in the restaurant industry.”

Dickey’s Executes Monumental Multi-Unit Franchise Deal in Northeast

First responders are often first on the scene after a critical event like a car accident or violent crime. 

When seconds matter, having a quality first aid kit can make the difference between life and death. 

The Phoenix Police Department needs 500 first aid kits to put one in each police vehicle. The kits cost around $50.00 each.

Smokin’ Back to School: Dickey’s Family Pack & Kids Eat Free

LEVELLAND, Texas –[The Dickey Foundation](www.thedickeyfoundation.org) – the charitable arm of [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](www.dickeys.com) – is committed to serving those who serve the community.

Earlier this year, Dickey’s transformed its iconic Big Yellow Cup into the Golden 80th Anniversary Big Yellow Cup Edition. Dickey’s will continue to release commemorative, limited-edition cups totaling six throughout the year to celebrate its 80th anniversary. All of the limited-edition cups support The Dickey Foundation.

Although it’s a national foundation, the support is intensely local. Levelland’s local Dickey’s has used the funds raised from the Big Yellow Cup sales to donate two rehab cooling stations to the Levelland Fire Department. The donation took place at Levelland’s fire station on Aug. 2.
